Home Tour - The Most Romantic Bathroom Remodel
INTRODUCTION
Our team recently wrapped up a master bathroom renovation in Deerfield and it is moody and dramatic AF! This bathroom is huge, and started out bland, beige and builder’s grade. Our team’s design, led by Senior Designer Courtney Esch, added dark accents to create contrast along with mixed metals and rich tile and stone accents to really elevate the space.
THE DESIGN PROCESS
We begin every project with a mood board to summarize the design direction for the project. This mood board combines elements for the bathroom and the future bedroom design to ensure the master suite will be cohesive. This design blends subtle traditional and romantic details with modern, textural tiles and rich marble textures. Dark accents add depth and drama to the space.
BEFORE
The original conditions were original to the house and quite dated. While the layout of the space was good, this client wanted a more modern vanity, updated finishes and a freestanding bathtub in place of the old jacuzzi.
THE DESIGN - RENDERINGS
Our team always presents 3D renderings of the design to our clients to help them see the full vision before any construction begins.
The extra long vanity was redesigned, incorporating a vanity area for makeup. The charcoal stained wood adds a richness to the space and compliments the dark green-almost black accent walls around the bathtub.
By incorporating a freestanding tub, we made the space more modern while still maintaining the original bathroom layout.
Dark accent walls break up the large space with a textural tile beneath it to keep things light. Our team incorporated a full stone slab at the back of the shower to add drama, tie in with the vanity countertop and create an elegant and cohesive aesthetic.
FINAL REVEAL
Now for the goods! We are so thrilled with how this project came to life. The space feels completely transformed, elevated and fresh. Keep scrolling to see the final photos!
We mixed brushed brass and polished nickel metals throughout the project to add warmth and yet keep things balanced.
All of the tile on this project is elegant and traditional with a modern twist. Instead of basic subway tiles, we chose elongated tiles with a subtle texture and stacked them in a more modern layout. Instead of tiling the entire shower, we incorporated a full slab along the back wall to really add some drama without cluttering the space.
This client was such a pleasure to work with and we’re so happy with how this design came together! Hope you enjoyed the home tour!
