Led by husband-and-wife duo Devon and Michael Wegman, DGI Design x Build is a Chicago-based interior design and build firm transforming homes. The team, consisting of designers, project managers, and contractors, takes a fresh and holistic approach, using cutting-edge technology to streamline the design and construction process.

OWNER, DESIGN DIRECTOR

Devon launched DGI in 2016, introducing her eye for modern, textural designs to the Chicago market and beyond. An alumna of Northeastern University where she received her Bachelor of Science in Architecture and Suffolk University where she received her Master of Arts in Interior Design, Devon built a foundation working for prestigious architecture and design firms in Boston, New York, and Chicago. With her multidisciplinary background, Devon looks at spaces holistically and creates cohesive designs that balance dramatic, bold moves with modern clean lines.

MICHAEL WEGMAN

OWNER, PRINCIPAL

After six successful years in the tech industry, Michael Wegman joined his wife, Devon at the helm of DGI to grow the expanding business. Originally from Rochester, New York, Michael earned a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University. Most recently, Michael worked in business development and consulting for Autodesk. Today, his expertise in business development and technology adoption has made him the perfect complement to Devon’s creative energy. When Michael isn’t working, he can be found on the squash courts, ski slopes, or traveling the world in search of good food and great views.
