PROJECT MANAGER

DGI Design-Build is a premier design-build firm specializing in luxury residential projects in greater Chicago and across the US. Our team of talented professionals works tirelessly to bring our clients' dream homes to life, ensuring every detail is perfected and every project is a testament to our dedication to quality and luxury.

This is a full-time position based in Chicago, expecting 40 hours per week. Pay ranges based on level of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and implementation of project activities once they move into the project execution phase. Activities include but aren’t limited to invoicing, procurement, construction and product installations, and final delivery, ensuring seamless execution and client satisfaction.

  • Coordinate and schedule trades, furniture deliveries, and installations, managing timelines and resolving any logistical challenges that may arise.

  • Review vendor quotes, shop drawings, and purchase agreements to ensure design intent and project costs are maintained.

  • Regular project site visits and walkthroughs to coordinate material deliveries, product installations, and trade labor activities.

  • Procurement of material and furnishings. Manage supplier relationships, ensuring quality standards and project timelines are met.

  • Act as a primary point of contact for clients, vendors, and trades, maintaining open and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle and ensuring client needs and expectations are met.

  • Collaborate with designers, construction teams, and subcontractors to ensure project objectives are aligned and executed efficiently.

  • Identify and mitigate project risks, implementing solutions to overcome obstacles and ensure project success.

  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including purchase contracts/receipts, schedules, and client communications.

Desired Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of the complexities and sequencing of construction-related activities within the residential construction industry.

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Procurement, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management within the construction, architecture, or design-build industry, with a preference for experience in high-end residential projects.

  • Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and lead teams to success.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, team members, and suppliers.

  • Ability to interpret architectural and shop drawings.

  • Proficient in Google and/or Microsoft Suite.

  • Knowledge of construction standards and industry trends.

  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing project demands.
