We are excited to introduce…
DGI Windy City Wine Oasis
This Lincoln Park home was reimagined as a warm, layered retreat designed for entertaining at every scale. Blending the homeowners’ style with the existing architecture, the design introduces a custom wine cellar, a 39-foot stairwell chandelier, and a variety of elevated entertaining spaces. Subtle sculptural details, including the stone feature in the primary bath, carry a sense of continuity throughout the home. The story continues as each space introduces its own moment of detail and intention.
A New Chapter in Chicago
After relocating from Boston, our clients found themselves in a contemporary home that didn’t yet reflect their personal aesthetic. Their transformation unfolded in two phases, first establishing the foundation through furnishings, a custom wine cellar, and a built-in landing space, then elevating the home further with redesigned bathrooms and a dramatic stairwell chandelier.
The Vision
The vision for this home centered on creating a refined yet inviting environment through curated materiality and intentional space planning. We prioritized flow and function, while introducing elevated design elements like statement stone and sculptural lighting. Each decision was rooted in creating a cohesive, layered aesthetic that feels both elevated and livable.
What began as an initial phase to furnish and enhance key spaces quickly evolved into a full-home transformation, as our clients invited us back to carry the vision through to completion. Detailed 3D renderings brought each space to life before construction, giving a clear understanding of how every material, layout, and detail would come together.

Several key spaces were thoughtfully designed to create moments of impact throughout the home:
Designed as a private, spa-like retreat, the primary bathroom was reconfigured to improve flow and enhance privacy through a more intentional single entry. A sculptural, illuminated Cristallo stone partition centers the walk-in shower, introducing visual drama within a fully stone-clad environment.
A rebuilt pergola with an integrated louvered system redefines the rooftop deck, allowing for both controlled shade and an open-air experience depending on use.
Entertaining was considered throughout the home, with a series of layered spaces spanning the living, dining, and family rooms, as well as the basement, each designed to support connection and flow across levels.
